| ITF Bunny Beads Anyone who has ever lost a beloved pet understands the sadness of being separated from the comforting presence of a specially-loved animal companion. The idea for ITF Bunny Beads – lovingly- designed & crafted lampwork glass vessels and custom beads to shelter the ashes of your special pet – was born following the loss of our 19-year-old cat, “Bunny,” in the summer of 2009. These special beads have been designed in several different ways to reflect the unique personality of special animals, and the people who will long continue to cherish them. |
ITF Bunny Bead Vessels: These unique one-of-a-kind creations are freeform and cone- shaped lampwork pendant vessels with a semi-hollow core. We will carefully encase a quarter-teaspoon of your pet’s ashes inside this vessel, and then seal it with a glue-based silicone and a hand-crafted, silver- cored glass stopper. The pendant can easily be strung on your favorite cord or chain or used for decorative purposes. |
| ITF Bunny Bead Custom Encasement Beads: If you’d prefer to have your pet’s ashes encased in glass beads, we can do this as well. Our website contains examples of the range of colored glasses that work best with this process. Each bead is started with a tiny core of colored glass, touched gently to ashes, and then encased in thick silver foil and transparent crystal glass. The ashes and silver create an organic starburst of brilliant floating patterns below the surface. We can also use pastel and opaque glasses, if you’d prefer to have then fully encased.
