Welcome!
For all of my customers, past, present and future,
I can't tell you enough how very much I appreciate
your faith in my work. It's absolutely wonderful to
be able to make your living doing something you
truly love, and thanks to your continued support
and generosity I am able to do just that.
This website is an ongoing work in progress. The
purpose of the site is to provide both a gallery
for some of my favorite work, provide links to my
on-line store and auctions, and to showcase some
of the incredible designers from around the world
who have used my work in their creations.
As always, thanks for visiting!
"Liquid Sunshine"
"Messy Ginger" and uranium yellow
glass, embellished with silver leaf and
then shaped... such wonderful tones!
As you browse my site you'll find my
favorite type of style is earthy with
lots of rich, loamy colors and
natural-feeling textures.
Abstract
shapes and
designs -
especially ones
teeming with
color - are a big
favorite of mine!
Raku... such a wonderful, versatile material, it
is one of my favorite embellishments to use.
This reactive glass takes on a rainbow
variety of hues depending on the
temperature and gas/oxygen combination
its exposed to. The finished product is
aways a surprise, and always unique!
I really enjoy creating glasswork that
resembles something you might find in
nature... "etching" the beads gives them a
nice, matte stone-line finish that is
wonderful to the touch.
I believe texture is just as
important in design as
shape and color. I use a
wide variety of materials to
achieve various tactile
surfaces, including
enamels, pixie dusts, frits,
metal foils and even baking
soda!
Specialty presses have become very
popular in lampworking. Presses allow
the artist to uniformly shape each bead,
or add interesting textures and patterns.
